Westlake Village is a community within the city of Thousand Oaks in Ventura County. Much of the original community was incorporated as the City of Westlake Village and is now part of Los Angeles County, although the entire area is still collectively referred to as Westlake. Much of the land around Westlake Village is given to hiking and horse trails, as well as golf and country clubs. In addition to being a popular bedroom community for the City of Los Angeles, Westlake Village is home to the headquarters of many large companies, including Dole Food Company and J.D. Power and Associates.
